This millipede (Motyxia sequoiae) is one of only eight bioluminescent millipede species - out of 12,000 species worldwide. All eight glowing species live in three adjacent counties in south central California. They emit a greenish-blue light that intensifies when they’re disturbed.
This model (about 18x life size) can be seen in Creatures of Light.
